The Volunteer High School chapter of Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society) is dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.

We participate in the UTK Pro2Serve Math Competition and the NESCC Math Competition. We fundraise to support our seniors with a one time $250 scholarship (we gave out 5 last year!!), and we go outside math to be involved in our community and the world.

Any student is welcome to attend; however, an active member is one who has completed Algebra II, maintained a 3.0 GPA, enrolled for an upper level math class (prob/stat, trig, etc) for the coming year, has paid dues and is regularly attending meeting and participating in activities.
