Volunteer Varsity Falcons Earn Walk-Off Win Over Elizabethton on Senior Night! By GameChanger It came down to the wire on Friday, as Volunteer Varsity Falcons grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-1, over Elizabethton. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Emily Walker doubled, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Volunteer Varsity Falcons pitchers struck out four, while Elizabethton sat down five. Volunteer Varsity Falcons were the first to get on the board in the first when Maddie Holder singled, scoring one run. LACI GOBBLE homered to left field on a full count, which helped Elizabethton tie the game at one in the top of the fourth. Rylee Smith earned the win for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. The pitcher allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. LACI GOBBLE took the loss for Elizabethton. The pitcher went six and one-third innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one. Danni Guinn and Emily Walker each collected two hits for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. Maddie Holder and Emily Walker each drove in one run for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. Volunteer Varsity Falcons turned one double play in the game. Nice win on senior night for the Falcons Soccer program 6-2 over Maryville Christian. Falcons fell behind early 2-1 and fought back for the win. Colton Miller stole the show with 4 goals. Evan Lukens had a goal and an assist. Isaac Bradshaw also added a goal. 2 assists for Camden Lukens. Evan Wilder, Dashawn Booker ,and Daniel Miller all added an assist.
