By GameChanger It came down to the wire on Friday, as Volunteer Varsity Falcons grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-1, over Elizabethton. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Emily Walker doubled, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Volunteer Varsity Falcons pitchers struck out four, while Elizabethton sat down five. Volunteer Varsity Falcons were the first to get on the board in the first when Maddie Holder singled, scoring one run. LACI GOBBLE homered to left field on a full count, which helped Elizabethton tie the game at one in the top of the fourth. Rylee Smith earned the win for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. The pitcher allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. LACI GOBBLE took the loss for Elizabethton. The pitcher went six and one-third innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one. Danni Guinn and Emily Walker each collected two hits for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. Nice win on senior night for the Falcons Soccer program 6-2 over Maryville Christian. Falcons fell behind early 2-1 and fought back for the win. Colton Miller stole the show with 4 goals. Evan Lukens had a goal and an assist. Isaac Bradshaw also added a goal. 2 assists for Camden Lukens. Evan Wilder, Dashawn Booker ,and Daniel Miller all added an assist.

New A Difficult Out As Volunteer Varsity Falcons Defeat Cherokee By GameChanger Sydney New collected three hits in four at bats, as Volunteer Varsity Falcons defeated Cherokee 9-2 on Tuesday. Sydney New hit a solo home run to right field in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning. Emily Walker struck out 15 batters on the day. The starter also allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings while walking three.
