Falcons Soccer travels to Elizabethton this afternoon in pursuit of the program's first Region Tournament win in program history. The Falcons will take on the Cyclones in the Soccer Region 1AA Semifinals tonight with the Region Championship and State Sectional game on the line.

Place the dates into your calendars and support the softball team at home or soccer team on the road as both take on the Cyclones of Elizabethton in Region Semifinal matchups. Tickets for both events will be $8 and only TSSAA passes will be accepted for free admission for one person. Per TSSAA guidelines, no family passes or school IDs accepted for postseason play.

2026 Softball District Tournament Champions VOLUNTEER LADY FALCONS Volunteer Varsity Falcons Firing On All Cylinders Against Grainger Varsity Grizzlies By GameChanger Volunteer Varsity Falcons won big over Grainger Varsity Grizzlies 12-2 on Friday at Grainger High School. Volunteer Varsity Falcons got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Sydney New singled, scoring one run, and Danni Guinn doubled, scoring two runs. Volunteer Varsity Falcons added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning on one hit. Sydney New hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Maddie Holder homered to center field, scoring three runs. Volunteer Varsity Falcons extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Emersyn Templeton and Emily Walker. Emily Walker earned the win for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. The hurler gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking one. Destanee Davis took the loss for Grainger Varsity Grizzlies. The righty went three innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, striking out none and walking none. Volunteer Varsity Falcons tallied 14 hits in the game. Maddie Holder drove the middle of the lineup, leading Volunteer Varsity Falcons with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Danni Guinn, Maddie Holder, Raylie Gray, Emily Walker, and Timber McLain each collected two hits for Volunteer Varsity Falcons. Jaylee Hayes and Mckinley Mills were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Grainger Varsity Grizzlies while hitting back-to-back. Sports Physicals for returning Volunteer students will be held at the school on Wednesday, May 13th, from 8-11am. Each grade level will be called accordingly. The cost will be $15. This physically will provide participation clearance for all of summer and through the 26-27athletic seasons. Take advantage of this opportunity!

District Announcement: The new VHS scoreboard at VHS is finally going up! We are extremely grateful to Cardinal Glass for the 100% donation for this scoreboard. It has taken months to get to this point, but progress over the last week has been very quick! We look forward to utilizing all the features of the new scoreboard and are hopeful to break it in officially at graduation this year (fingers crossed). #HCSignite

The Softball District Championship for today has been postponed until tomorrow, 7:30pm, at Grainger HS.

Falcons will bring home the hardware today either way, but we want this CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆!
