The Volunteer High School branch of the National Junior Classical League spent their Monday teaching the Latin I classes about the Ancient Roman tradition of Saturnalia. NJCL members kicked off the holiday season by reading a Latin adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. To accompany the lesson, Magistra Artemis provided some homemade hot chocolate, and the NJCL members staffed a hot cocoa and snack bar for the Latin I students.
