Volunteer Varsity Falcons were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run. Volunteer Varsity Falcons added one run in the second after Cade Smith singled down the right field line. Volunteer Varsity Falcons added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on three hits. Carson Williams singled, scoring one run, and Jameson Mowell homered to left field, scoring two runs. Sam Wilson took the loss for Claiborne. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking three. J.J. Franklin, Cooper Fraysier, and Brock Mowell combined for four of the team's eight hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in four. Despite falling down by six runs in the third inning, Unaka tried to fight back. Unaka closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a single, and a ground out.
